What is minhwa?
Minhwa literally means "painting of the people" and refers to Korean folk art produced mostly by unknown artists without formal training, following contemporary trends for everyday use or decoration. Minhwa brings blessings, and in English it is a 'happy picture’.
It is not a picture that is simply displayed, but a picture that needs to read the meaning and symbol of the picture.
